STRO14576 – Durbidges Hill Burston – 16th June
Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (STRO14576) affecting C472 Durbidges Hill from its junction with C472 Burston Road for 400 metres northwards (the “Road”) in the Parishes of Heywood and Burston and Shimpling to facilitate overhead cabling works, the Road will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be from between 09:30 and 15:00 on 16th June 2026, but may continue to be closed/restricted until the 28th July 2026 where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates.
Alternative route is via: Burston Road, Durbidges Hill, Diss Road, Mill Road, Mill Green, Hall Road, Back Heywood Road, The Heywood (Diss, Heywood, Burston and Shimpling).
The works promoter for this restriction/closure is: BT.
Vehicular access will be permitted to a final destination in the Road where signs indicating such access is possible and permitted are in place.
The Order shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works when the closure is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 28th July 2026 without further notice.
If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date the Order is effective.
A person who contravenes, or who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the closure imposed by the Order shall be guilty of an offence.
Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.

STRO14562 – A140 near Dunstan Hall
Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (STRO14562) affecting the A) A140 Norwich Road/Ipswich Road from its junction with the C497 Bungay Roundabout to its junction with the A140 Ipswich Road Southern Bypass Roundabout (“Road A”) and B) U71618 Ipswich Road Dairy Farm Layby from its junction with the A140 Ipswich Road for 98 metres northwards (“Road B”) in the Parishes of Stoke Holy Cross, Swainsthorpe, Newton Flotman and Tasburgh to facilitate carriageway resurfacing, the Roads will be subject to the following restrictions for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be from 5th to 16th May 2026, but may continue to be closed/restricted until the 27th June 2026 where the closure/restriction is still required beyond the anticipated dates:
- Road A will be temporarily closed/restricted (except for pedestrian access) between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 and temporarily subject to a 30 miles per hour speed restriction
- Road B will be temporarily closed/restricted (except for pedestrian access).
