Devolution – Mayoral Combined County Authorities
There is a proposal to combine Norfolk and Suffolk into one authority with an elected Mayor. There is an initial consultation details and other information below.
The villages of Burston and Shimpling with the hamlets of Audley End, Mill Green and Bridge Green form one parish in South Norfolk, 5 miles to the north east of the market town of Diss, in the Waveney Valley. Burston is famous for having the longest strike in history and hosts a rally to celebrate this event on the first Sunday in September.
