NEW COMMUNITY SPEEDWATCH TEAM – BURSTON & SHIMPLING
We’re putting together a brand-new Community Speedwatch team for Burston & Shimpling, and we’re looking for at least 9 volunteers to make it happen.
The bigger the team, the smaller the commitment for everyone — with 9+ people involved, it works out at just 1.5 hours roughly every 3 weeks. Easy, flexible, and very manageable.
When can you volunteer?
Pretty much any day that suits you — weekdays or weekends. We’ll run a rota so everyone gets a fair share and plenty of notice.
Why are we doing this?
Because traffic does come through our parish too fast, and Speedwatch genuinely helps slow things down. A visible team makes drivers think twice, helping keep our community safer.
Who can take part?
Anyone aged 18+ who lives locally and wants to help.
No experience needed. Full guidance provided.
Just bring enthusiasm and an hour and a half of your time now and then.
If we can build a strong team, we can spread the load and make it easy for everyone involved.
If you’re interested or want more info, please get in touch — we’d love to have you on board. Contact Anita for more information and to volunteer hughes63@btinternet.com
