Burston Mill – Additional information and Update

Weighbridge replacement - week 20th April Change to hours to include night working - 19th May

Published: 7 April 2026

Weighbridge Replacement

One of Tuck’s Mill weighbridges next week (beginning 20th April) and that because of the loss of two weighbridges while the install takes place it will be necessary for some late/night loads being required to service our customers.

We will endeavour to keep these to an absolute minimum.

May – Change of Hours

The Mill have given us advanced notice of a change in hours.

From Tuesday 5th of May 2026, there will a period of training with reduced movements.

Night loading will be on Tues/Wed/Thu/Fri nights.

Full capacity is expected to be reached from 19th May 2026.

The hours of operation will be from 7pm through until approximately 04:30 am for the return of the last vehicle doing 3 loads.

The loads will vary but will be a maximum of 12 during a night (4 driver x 3 loads).

Vehicles returning empty will have the doors secured and respect our 20mph limit.

There is now an email account that the residents can use to contact the mill directly.
Any abuse will see this account closed.
